There can be few supposed foodstuffs more revolting than the “pork” that comes in cans of pork ‘n’ beans. What is that grey layer? The skin?

I’ve never even had a pet that would eat it, and my dogs used to fight over roadkill that had spent a few days on the asphalt in July.

Blech.
