Watching your life flash before your eyes.

Since I got my digital camera, I take pictures pretty regular. I didn’t realize how regularly, though, until a minute ago. I’ve been needing to sort through my pictures, particularly to find some to frame to make my apartment look a bit more lived in, so I finally imported everything into iPhoto for easier viewing and sorting. (Previously, only the pictures from the last year — since I got my Mac — were in the library, the rest were archived from my old Dell.)

There were nearly 5000 photos. Flashflashflash — one after the other, from early 2004 until now. Literally watching my life flash before my eyes, seeing where I was, lived through, and where I am now. Seeing what I did, where I went, and what I was focused on.

That was pretty amazing.

And for Thanksgiving, one helluva way to realize what you’re thankful for. 🙂
