I was talking to my Dad today, and we were discussing his tomatoes. They’re coming ripe, and, as usual, there are a lot of them (despite relatively few plants). I asked if he could bring me a few when they come down tomorrow evening, which he said he could. He did mention, however, that they’re smaller this year than past years. There are lots, but they didn’t grow as big.

I pointed out that one way of encouraging larger tomato growth would have been to control how big the plants are allowed to grow, which he most certainly didn’t. He giggled like a schoolgirl and told me that one of the plants is around 10 feet tall now.

Sooo… yeah. When my father breeds some sort of giant, mutant killer produce that devours us all? Sorry about that.
