I have no idea why the song Lady in Red makes me so sad. It was never “our song” with someone who’s no longer around. I’ve never suffered any emotional trauma that became linked to it, and red is my favourite colour (and quite suits me).
And yet, when it came on last evening, the feeling that came over me was as immediate as it was familiar. Fortunately, I had a fortifying gin and tonic in my hand at the time. 🙂
I moved my book list over to Chapters, since Amazon Canada had some weird glitch where it wouldn’t save my address or other stuff. Kinda doesn’t make you want to give them your credit card info, y’know?
Things are just about to get underway.
I took several pictures to try and capture Chris’ face just before the ceremony. He’d been Mr. Cool all day, and then… I wanted Teresa to see, cuz it was very amusing and sweet.
And the deed is done.
A slightly non-traditional first dance song, Johnny Cash’s cover of The Beatles’ My Life. (Thanks, Sherry.)
Teresa and her grandpa dancing to Spanish Eyes. It was very sweet. As was catching a moment when Chris’ mom and aunt were singing along to it. 🙂
Several people asked me if Baloo was going to be in the wedding or coming to the wedding. Much as everyone would have enjoyed that… no. And so, the torch has been passed. Might I present: The New Mopey!
Nope, no pictures of me. Least I didn’t take any. There are probably some out there. Cass took pictures pretty much every second. If I come across any good ones, I’ll throw them on here at some point.
It’s always fascinating when you read a story that covers and angle of something (especially something popular) that you totally would never have thought of.
Like how giant pandas are really friggin’ expensive.
