I have really been enjoying absorbing the content of the articles I’ve been reading at A List Apart. Pretty common sense stuff, but good for someone like me who’s still in the learning curve, not surfing the top. And, as the best articles do, it’s gotten me thinking about applications of the ideas, and, in some cases, how I disagree or would tweak their comments so that they better frame my thoughts on various issues.
Of course, it’s also kind of depressing to read an article on Thinking Outside the Grid re. tables and CSS and the where web design/navigation can go now and to mentally rebut, Yeah, but I’m working in insurance, and a lot of our clientele is Snowbirds – Baby Boomers – and they’re just starting to get the old way of design and navigation… *sigh*
