It’s not a resolution.

I went to the gym this morning. Haven’t been in ages. Haven’t been much all year. Not that I wasn’t getting exercise… I took it relatively easy. Did my stretches (man, that felt good), 15 minutes on the elliptical, then a couple of slow minutes on the elliptical to cool down a bit, then some upper body weights. Weights are the area where it’s most obvious how long it’s been since I’ve worked out with any regularity. And even when I was working out more, I was off weights for a while. Just no motivation, and I needed the endorphins of hard cardio. No matter, I can still hoist nearly 70lbs of bulldog off the floor. 🙂 Anyway, it’s December 29th, so I don’t feel cheese-o-riffic for going back after January 1st. Should be able to fit in another visit tomorrow. This afternoon should be fun, seeing as there is a possibility of walking a) Baloo, b) Barney and Gordie, and c) doing my HS shift. Arms? Who needs arms?

Currently I am roasting garlic for dinner (it smells SO GOOD), soaking dishes, drinking blood orange tea (I < heart > Andrew’s Tea Lady), and will shortly collect the garbage and recycling, empty the compost bucket, and either embark on my Christmas book or have a nap. Oh! And I finally remembered why I needed to go to the store: I ran out of sockmonkey stuffing last night, so I have a lot of flaccid and almost-finished appendages.
